*Living and Learning with Llamas Groups
Groups for elementary ages and teen girls continue this summer meeting on Monday mornings. Students work with the llamas, trail walk, create in the fiber shop, and care for the farm animals. Please email for more details. *This group is covered by most insurance plans including Dr. Dynasaur!
*Llama Club Ages 8+ take their own llama on trail walks, learn about and care for farm animals and make fiber art projects in the shop. 6 week session begins July 10. Times to be announced. Cost $12 per week or $60 for full session.
*Field Trips include a tour of the farm meeting and feeding the animals, a story walk along our wooded trail, photo scavenger hunt and felting in the fiber shop. We also have a picnic area and antique tractors to climb on. Call for details and scheduling. *Trail Walks and Farm are an unforgettable experience for ages 8 and up. Younger visitors can come for a tour of the farm--meet the animals, walk a llama in the obstacle course, and felt in the shop. A great activity for families! Cost: Farm Tours - $10/person; Trail Walks - $20/person ($40 minimum)

Visitors will experience a first-hand sampling of actual farm work, animals, and agricultural processes. The authentically restored 1890 Farm House, the center of the farm and forestry operation a century ago – features the farm manager's office, family living quarters – and creamery, where butter was produced for market. Interactive programs in the farmhouse for visitors and students interpret 19th century agricultural improvement, butter production, and domestic life. Engaging exhibits housed in 19th century barns depict the annual cycle of rural life and work, as well as the cultural values of Vermont farm families a century ago.
